What Really Happened Radio Show: Michael Rivero Monday July 8 2013: (Commercial Free Video)

Date: 07/08/2013
Michael Rivero is the webmaster of http://whatreallyhappened.com/and host of the What Really Happened radio shows on the Republic Broadcasting Network. Formerly with NASA, Michael transitioned his image processing skills (along with a brief stint as an actor) into the then-new motion picture computer animation field and has worked on films such as "Star Trek", "The Day After Tomorrow", and has supervised visual effects on "Brainscan," "LOST", and "Hawaii Five-0." Michael has taken a sabbatical from film work to focus all his efforts on peace activism. Michaels foray into blogging began before the word was even invented, and happened almost by accident when he spotted a suspicious photograph being broadcast on ABC news in 1994 related to the death of White House deputy Council Vincent Foster. Since that sudden beginning, Michaels website has expanded to cover diverse topics including the JFK assassination, the accidental shoot-down of TWA 800, election fraud, health issues, Saddams non-existent nuclear weapons, 9-11, the economy, and of course, the lies used to trick the United States into wars of conquest on Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Iran. Michael resides in Hawaii with his wife Claire, who is a composer and creates much of theme music used on the What Really Happened radio show.

MF Corzine off the crook

No criminal charges

It’s official.
Jon Corzine will not be cuffed over MF Global’s improper handling of customers’ funds leading up to the commodity brokerage firm’s spectacular collapse in late 2011, The Post has learned.
Federal investigators have found no evidence that the disgraced Wall Street titan broke the law.
“After 18 months of investigation, the criminal probe into Jon Corzine is now being dropped,” a person with knowledge of the probe told The Post.
“There is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing,” this person said.
The Justice Department’s decision to drop the case is sure to come as a relief to Corzine, who has been widely blamed for MFG’s bankruptcy — as well as the misuse of some $1.6 billion in customers’ funds.
Last week, Corzine was hit with civil charges by the Commodities Futures Trading Commission in connection with the illegal tapping of the funds, which were improperly co-mingled with the MFG’s house money in the firm’s final days.
The regulator also charged Edith O’Brien, MFG’s former assistant treasurer, for carrying out the illegal transfers in a desperate bid to keep the troubled company afloat.
Both Corzine and O’Brien have denied the allegations.
Criminal investigators, including federal prosecutors and the FBI, have been probing the breach since shortly after it was uncovered with its Halloween 2011 bankruptcy.
At the time it was the eighth largest bankruptcy in US history — and the largest since Lehman Brothers went under in September 2008.
Investigators last interviewed Corzine, who has denied authorizing the transfers, in September 2012, sources said.
The criminal probe then appeared to run out of steam until a few months ago when O’Brien was granted immunity and agreed to cooperate.
Unfortunately for mad-as-hell MFG customers, many of whom are still owed money, the talks with O’Brien failed to convince the feds of any Corzine guilt.
Representatives for Manhattan US Attorney Preet Bharara’s office and the FBI declined to comment, as did a spokesman for Corzine.
The CFTC lawsuit relied on recorded telephone conversations to support their allegation that Corzine was fully aware of the transfers.
In one call, an employee told Corzine that some of the funds O’Brien transferred had not been returned, the lawsuit said. Corzine asked if O’Brien had received back “enough to be in compliance.” The employee replied, “No.”

The Power Principle – I: Empire

A good documentary of how the US military/CIA/NSA budget continues to grow out of control, with the true scale of the spending concealed through the use of outside contractors. According to this documentary, The US spends more on war than the rest of the world combined.

Possible Egyptian Interim Prime Minister is a Globalist Operative

Kurt Nimmo

A spokesman for Egyptian interim President Adly Mansour said on Saturday Mohamed Elbaradei may be the country’s next prime minister.
Elbaradei’s appointment is less than certain, however, because the “ultraconservative” Salafi al-Nour party opposes it.
The Egyptian military responsible for deposing Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood last week favor his appointment. “ElBaradei is our first choice,” a military source said. “He’s an international figure, popular with young people and believes in a democracy that would include all political forces. He is also popular among some Islamist groups.”
Elbaradei is the former director general of the UNited Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency. He currently serves as the Egyptian vice president under Mansour.
He is also a dedicated globalist in cahoots with George Soros, who is usually described as a liberal billionaire philanthropist by the establishment media.
Prior to his direct involvement in Egyptian politics during the fall of long time globalist client Hosni Mubarak, Elbaradei sat on the Board of Trustees of the International Crisis Group (ICG). The organization is rife with a number of key globalist players, including former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Wesley Clark, former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, and a sprinkling of neocons, including Kenneth Adelman and the CFR connected Richard Armitage, George Bush’s former Deputy Secretary of State.
It should be noted, writes Tony Cartalucci, “that ICG members such as Richard Armitage and Kenneth Adelman are also signatories of the extreme right-winged Project for a New American Century, the literal architects of the extremely fake ‘War on Terror,‘ and now some of the most vocal fear mongers regarding the unrest they themselves have not only planned by have funded and organized as well via the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and Freedom House.”
Cartalucci notes that Soros’ ICG funded organizations submitted drafts for Egypt’s new constitution and added “insult to injury to the evisceration of Egypt’s national sovereignty.”
To connect the dots, the Western press has, since the protests in Egypt began, pushed Mohamed El Baradei as the uniting figure,” Salem Muhammod wrote in February, 2011, as the globalist contrived “Arab Spring” unfolded in Egypt, “One more dot should connect who this man really is working for: The International Crisis Group. This organization is heavily funded by George Soros, a man experienced in funding revolutions and placing leaders he wants and believes will push for globalization in that country.”
Aaron Klein, writing for WorldNetDaily, documents Soros’ connection to other Arab Spring opposition groups in the Middle East. “His Open Society Institute’s Middle East and North Africa Initiative has provided numerous grants to a wide range of projects that promote so-called democratic issues across the region, including in Egypt,” writes Klein. “Soros himself in February 2011 made public statements in support of the anti-Mubarak protests in Egypt in which he cited ElBaradei.”
Now that the Muslim Brotherhood has failed to deliver, it will up to Elbaradei to bring about the sort of outcome in Egypt envisioned by the globalists. The military will assist this transition as rival groups of secularists and Islamists wage war in the streets of Cairo.
“Now ElBaradei could possibly land deep inside Egypt’s power structure, in the nation’s capital where he was born 71 years ago,” CNN reported on Saturday.
“I hope I’ll be the éminence grise,” ElBaradei said last week. “I’m getting on with the years… and I think I’ll be much more effective.”
In short, he will be more effective for the financial elite as they take down governments and societies with an IMF wrecking ball.

New Egyptian War: Americans Lose, Again

Ron Paul

July 8, 2013
Looking at the banners in the massive Egyptian protests last week, we saw many anti-American slogans. Likewise, the Muslim Brotherhood-led government that was deposed by the military last week was very critical of what it saw as US support for the coup. Why is it that all sides in this Egyptian civil war seem so angry with the United States? Because the United States has at one point or another supported each side, which means also that at some point the US has also opposed each side. It is the constant meddling in Egyptian affairs that has turned Egyptians against us, as we would resent foreign intervention in our own affairs.
For more than 30 years, since the US-brokered Camp David Accord between Israel and Egypt, the US supported Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak. Over that period the US sent more than $60 billion to prop up Mubarak and, importantly, to train and seek control over the Egyptian military. Those who opposed Mubarak’s unelected reign became more and more resentful of the US, which they rightly saw as aiding and abetting a dictator and denying them their political aspirations.
Then the US began providing assistance to groups seeking to overthrow Mubarak, which they did in 2011. The US continued funding the Egyptian military at that time, arguing that US aid was more critical than ever if we are to maintain influence. The US Administration demanded an election in Egypt after Mubarak’s overthrow and an election was held. Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood won a narrow victory. The US supported Morsi but kept funding the Egyptian military.
After a year of Morsi’s rule, Egyptians who did not approve of his government took to the streets to demand his removal from power. The US signaled to the Egyptian military that it would not oppose the removal of Morsi from power, and he was removed on July 3rd. With the overthrow of the Muslim Brotherhood-led government came the arrest of many politicians and the closure of many media outlets sympathetic to them. Then the US government warned the same Egyptian military that undermined democracy that it needed to restore democracy! Is it any wonder why Egyptians from all walks of life are united in their irritation with the United States?
Despite the Egyptian government being overthrown by a military coup, the Obama Administration will not utter the word “coup” because acknowledging reality would mean an end to US assistance to the Egyptian government and military. That cannot be allowed.
Instead, we see the same Obama administration that is on a worldwide manhunt for pro-transparency whistle-blower Edward Snowden demand that the Egyptian military exercise “political transparency” in its dealings with the ousted Muslim Brotherhood-led government.
So, successive US administrations over the decades have supported all sides in Egypt, from dictator to demonstrator to military. There is only one side that the US government has never supported: our side. The American side. It has never supported the side of the US taxpayers who resent being forced to fund a foreign dictatorship, a foreign military, and foreign protestors. It has never supported the side of the majority of Americans who do not wish to get involved in the confusing internal affairs of countries thousands of miles away. It has never supported the side of those of us concerned about blowback, which is the real threat to our national security. Unfortunately, US administrations continue to follow the same old failed policies and Obama is no different. More intervention, more foreign aid, more bullying, more empire.

Why MSNBC Defends NSA Surveillance

President Obama seems more willing to alienate his base of young supporters who object to the growing Surveillance State than to offend the national security apparatchiks who run it. But Obama’s crackdown on leakers also has found apologists among MSNBC’s “liberal” talkers.
I was a young person when I first heard the quip: “How do you know when the President is lying? His lips are moving.” At the time, President Richard Nixon was expanding the war in Vietnam to other countries and deploying the White House “plumbers” to commit crimes against antiwar leakers.
Forty years have passed. Sadly, these days, often when I see President Barack Obama moving his lips, I assume he’s lying. Like Nixon, our current president is prolonging an endless, borderless and counter-productive war (“on terror”) and waging a parallel war against “national security” leakers that makes the plumbers’ burglary of Daniel Ellsberg’s psychiatrist’s office look almost quaint. Act of War: Israel Attacks Syrian Weapons Depot Containing Advanced Russian Arms

Israeli forces attacked the site. The target were components of Russia’s SA-300 anti-aircraft missile system.

A massive explosion last Thursday at a major Syrian weapons depot in Latakia, not far from the main port of Tartus, completely destroyed the facility and munitions stored there.
Tartus is Syria’s main port.  It is largely controlled by the Russian military, and the route by which all weapons transported by sea would enter Syria.  As such, any advanced Russian weaponry would enter via Tartous and might be stored in the Latakia depot.
Though the Free Syrian Army took immediate credit for the attack, it was not the responsible party.
A confidential Israeli source informs me that Israeli forces attacked the site.  The target were components of Russia’s SA-300 anti-aircraft missile system which had been shipped by Russia to Tartus and stored in Latakia.
Israel and exerted tremendous pressure on Vladimir Putin to cancel its contract to supply the missile batteries to Syria, since once they were operational they would render Israeli aircraft more vulnerable to attack.  Israel, of course, will countenance no front-line state having even defensive weapons which give it superiority over Israeli weapons systems.  In response to Israeli entreaties, Russia’s leader refused to budge and recommitted to providing the weapons to Assad.  Apparently, he’d begun to follow through on his promise with these first shipments.
This is Israel’s third attack inside Syria since January.  It considerably escalates the conflict there since it is the first known attack by Israeli forces which destroyed Russian armaments.  Though Putin was surely warned by Israel that this would happen if he went forward with the arms deal, actually attacking Russian munitions is an act to which Putin will not take kindly, to say the least.
Assad bragged publicly a month ago that the SA-300 deliveries had arrived.  Turns out he was right.  Perhaps he shouldn’t have shot his mouth off. Read more...
